Troels Grum-Schwensen

Troels Grum-Schwensen was educated at the School of Architecture at the Academy of Art. He graduated in 1986 and established his own design office in 1989 specialising in architecture, interior design and furniture design.

”Furniture is an architectural item which – in a clear and simple way – has to adapt to the room and the people using it. At the same time it has its own independent and final shape – like a sculpture”.

Troels Grum-Schwensen has received a number of prizes and recognition for his furniture design – in 1997 he received a three-year-grant from Statens Kunstfond (State Art Fund).
